Easter vests (and no oxygen!)

Matching Easter vests

Easter weekend was a great weekend.  It was Logan's first Easter and Drew was super excited to wear matching Easter outfits! They were some handsome brothers.  Logan enjoyed his first Easter celebrations with both Ted's family and my family, which of course involved lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles peaking at him.  The most exciting thing about the weekend was that we were able to take him off of the oxygen for good!!! I was so excited to permanently remove those stickers on his face that had been keeping the oxygen tubing in his nose when he needed.  It was a great weekend!

Drew was excited to have a little photo shoot with his matching brother... so handsome!

Happy Birthday! (1 month)

Happy Birthday Logan (1 month)

Logan is 1 month old today!!!  Happy Birthday!

Shawntae was given this stuffed bear when she was in the hospital and she let Logan bring it home.  I thought I would try and take a picture of him with this stuffed bear every month so you could compare the pictures and see how he is growing. At his dr appointment 2 weeks ago he weighed 9 lbs 11 oz and was 22 inches long (I am sure he is even bigger now!)

On March 15, Shawntae bravely gave birth to Logan at 8:29 pm. He was 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 20.5 inches long (a big boy!)  I am so thankful for the amazing opportunity that Shawntae gave me to be in the room while he was born, it is an experience I will forever cherish.  She has given us the most amazing gift ever and we will forever thank her for this little miracle that was born just one month ago.

Brotherly Love

Logan is such a good baby!  He is sleeping like a champ, eating great, and it is looking like he will be off his oxygen really soon! He has only needed the oxygen at night time and the Dr. had us turn down the amount he needed, so we are excited to be rid of it!

He also gets a lot of play time with his big brother. Drew is absolutely in love with Logan and loves being a big brother.  He wants to read books to him, hold him, and just lie next to him and chat.  I loving catching the little moments of brotherly love. Here are some of those little moments.
The look on his face just shows how much Drew loves Logan.

Introducing Logan's blog

It's a boy! And what an amazing little boy he is!

Ted and I (Sarah) are excited to share updates on what is happening with Logan and the joy he is bringing to our little family.  We are so grateful for Shawntae and the wonderful miracle she has given us by letting us adopt Logan. We know that Logan and his big brother Drew are loved by so many people and we have appreciated all the love and support you have shown. We figured that this would be the best way to share a little glimpse of our lives to all of you, and  keep you updated on Logan. I must admit I am not very computer savvy so be patient with me and my blogging skills!

On March 30th, after 14 days of antibiotics in the hospital we were very excited to finally be able to bring Logan home and dress him in normal clothes!  He was on oxygen for most of the time in the hospital and is still on it at home (mostly just while he is sleeping, so we are making progress).
Logan has such a mild manner about him and is a very sweet, easy going baby.  Although he seems easy going he is very strong when he wants to be a fighter, which I think is awesome too!  We are absolutely in love with him and know you all love him too.

Leaving the hospital!

 Car ride home!

 So excited to be home!
